1. Shreyan Bhattacharya sings Chunar

Hosted by Aditya Narayan, new judges were introduced on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs 2017, namely Neha Kakkar, Javed Ali and Himesh Reshammiya. The music reality show brings out the talent of young aspiring singers and gives them a platform to be heard. While you wait for India’s first ‘shot-from-home’ singing contest show, Sing With The Kakkars, airing from May 18, 2020, you can binge-watch the brilliant performances and renditions by the little champs on the former show, on ZEE5.

1. Shreyan Bhattacharya sings Chunar

Hailing from West Bengal, contestant Shreyan Bhattacharya engrosses everyone into his scintillating rendition of the song Chunar from the movie ABCD 2. The 30 jury members give him a perfect score of ‘100% Chartbuster Performance’. Judge Javed Ali compliments him for hitting the right notes. Shreyan goes on to become the winner of the season.

2. Rajshree Bag sings Deewani Mastani

Known for extremely sweet and sensuous voice, contestant Rajshree Bag delivers a mesmerizing performance on the stage. She sings Deewani Mastani from the movie Bajirao Mastani. Javed Ali praises her and says that her voice is ready for Bollywood playback singing. Jury member Padma Wadkar (wife of veteran singer Sudesh Wadkar), appreciates her performance.

3. Sonakshi Kar sings Solah Baras Ki

Performing the beautiful rendition of the iconic old melody Solah Baras Ki from the evergreen film Ek Duuje Ke Liye, contestant Sonakshi Kar, wins the heart of the audience as well as the judges. Neha Kakkar is extremely touched by her voice modulation when hitting high notes. Judge Javed Ali remembers legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar when Sonakshi builds up to the song’s crescendo.

4. Adnan Hussain Sabri sings Yaaro Sab Dua Karo

Coming from Mumbai, contestant Adnan Hussain Sabri collaborates with jury member Ram Shankar to sing the heart-warming qawwali, Yaaro Sab Dua Karo from the latter’s independent music album. Special guests Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik give them a standing ovation for their divine performance. Cheering the loudest for his performance, the audience express praises for him.

5. Jayas Kumar sings Itti Si Hassi

A 5-year-old boy from Delhi, Jayas Kumar was retained as a non-competitive participant on the show. Raising the entertainment with his spontaneity and high energy, he sings Itti Si Hassi from the movie Barfi. Neha Kakkar is stunned to see that he even tries yodelling in the interlude. His performance is well received by everyone in the grand jury.
