Hamari Bahu Silk is the story of Paakhi, played by Chahat Pandey, who comes from a middle-class background. The narrative follows her struggle to find a job owing to her family’s financial status and landing in the dubbing industry eventually.
Paakhi dubs for an actress in the B-grade film industry. Will a simple girl who uses her voice to titillate the audiences ever be considered a chaste woman and an ideal bahu?
2. Zaan Khan to play a Gujarati boy who loves photography
Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani actor Zaan Khan shall essay the role of Naksh, a passionate photographer. Naksh hails from a Gujarati family and thus, the new daily soap shall give us a detour of a traditional Gujarati lifestyle. The young boy is being pressurized by his folks to take over the family business but he couldn’t be any more interested.
Speaking about his role in the upcoming serial, Zaan told a leading news agency, “ I essay a typical Gujarati boy in the show and have been investing time in workshops to understand the style and dialect. I am very excited about this endeavor and hope that the audience enjoys seeing me in this avatar!”

Veteran actor Sarita Joshi, who has been a part of several hit TV shows, has joined the cast of Hamari Bahu Silk.
