Zaan Khan and Chahat Pandey have been roped in as the lead pair of upcoming Zee TV show Hamari Bahu Silk. Notably, the daily soap shall replace Karan Jotwani and Suhasi Dhami’s serial Aapke Aa Jane Se. Given their gorgeous looks, Zaan and Chahat’s pairing has piqued our interest in the telly project already. For those excited, let us inform you that Hamari Bahu Silk shall go on air from 3 June 2019.

Naturally, we are all dying to know more about this fresh jodi – Zaan and Chahat. As for Zaan, the actor has played poignant roles in leading TV shows like Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Ishqbaaz amongst others. He also appeared in the 2013 film Satyagraha, a political drama that starred Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, and Amrita Rao. It is mention worthy that Zaan is very good friends with Nupur Sanon, sister of Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon.

In Hamari Bahu Silk, Zaan plays a Gujarati boy-next-door who loves photography. Speaking about his role, Zaan told a leading entertainment news portal, “I essay the character of Naksh Parikh who is extremely passionate about photography. While his family has a catering business, they strongly object to his interest and want him to pursue their business. The character is challenging to the essay as Naksh is always torn between his passion and pressure from his family. I am very excited about this endeavour and hope that the audience enjoys seeing me in this avatar.”

As for Chahat, she has made her debut in 2016 and has acted in about four to five television shows already. She has been appreciated for her innocent and charming looks and mesmerizing acting chops. In the forthcoming serial, Chahat plays Paakhi, a student who is forced to take up a job owing to her family’s financial crisis. She lends her voice to an actress Natasha, played by debutant Reeva Chaudary, and works as a dubbing artist.
