Kaafir, a ZEE5 Original web series, starring Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina won the Best Web Series OTT Award (Critics) at Gold Awards 2019. The eight-part digital drama revolves around a Pakistani woman Kainaaz Akhtar, essayed by Dia, who gets wrongfully accused of terrorism and gets jailed in India. Vedant Rathod, played by Mohit, comes across Kainaaz and her daughter Seher and sets out to seek justice for the mother-daughter duo.
In her debut digital drama, Dia clinched gold! She picked the Best Actor OTT Female (Critics) trophy for her portrayal of Kainaaz. Speaking about the victory, she exclusive shared with us, “Kaafir will always be close to my heart. Thanks to Tarun Katial and the team of ZEE5 for telling a story so beautiful and special to me.
