Sunil Chhetri aka the ‘Captain Fantastic’ will be seen in a cameo role in the adrenaline-pumping sports series Bombers. Speaking about the same, he told a leading news agency, “It’s a story about characters who lose their focus in life and how football brings them together. This is a story of redemption, where sport gives them a chance to find their way in life.”

“It is a motivational story. For me, of course, it’s football that brings me here to be part of this endeavour. I just hope that a lot of people watch this and get motivated in life,” Football star Sunil Chhetri told a leading news agency about his web series debut with ZEE5 Original Bombers.

ZEE5 Original web series Bombers intends to support Oscar Foundation’s special programme ‘Education with a Kick.” It is aimed at encouraging underprivileged kids to learn life skills to complete primary education.

India’s star football player Sunil Chhetri met with the children of this Foundation and even played with them. “I enjoyed meeting such enthusiastic talents. In fact, we had a game with those kids and it was so much fun,” he told a news agency.

Sunil Chhetri recently shot for his cameo appearance in ZEE5 Original series Bombers. In this picture, he seems to be shooting for what seems like a scene from a talk-show.

Bombers series stars the likes of Ranvir Shorey, Aahana Kumra, Varun Mitra, Sapna Pabbi amongst others. Thus, we are excited to watch these great actors alongside debutant, star football player Sunil Chhetri in the football web series.

Sunil Chhetri is an Indian professional footballer who captains both the Indian Super League side Bengaluru FC and the Indian National Football Team. Popularly known as Captain Fantastic, Chhetri has scored the 2nd highest number of goals in international matches among active players after Cristiano Ronaldo.

He will be seen in the upcoming ZEE5 Original sports series Bombers in a cameo role.
