The Indian Television Academy organizes an annual awards event to honour the top talent in the field of Indian television. For 19 years, the show was being hosted by the country’s financial capital and entertainment hub, Mumbai. However, in a departure from nearly two-decade-long tradition, the 19th edition of ITA Awards 2019 was held in Indore on 10 November 2019. The grand gala was attended by the creme de la creme of telly town including Shraddha Arya, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Helly Shah, Ashi Singh, Shivangi Joshi, Mohit Malik amongst others. Popular celebrities like Shivangi, Mohit and many more even dished out sizzling performances while several other bagged awards for their excellence. Zee TV’s leading daily soap Kundali Bhagya won the Best TV show award while stars of other shows on the channel won too.

Dheeraj and Shraddha, who play the lead pair on Kundali Bhagya, graced the event together. Dheeraj, known for essaying Karan Luthra, took home the Best Actor trophy. He shared pictures with his gorgeous co-star on Instagram and shared the big moment with his fans and followers alike. “Best show #kundalibhagya Yayyyy Thank You All @ektaravikapoor @sarya 12,” he wrote while sharing a selfie with Shraddha and the trophy.
