Karan Wahi is hands down one of the most sought after names in the television industry. After his entertaining stint as a host on Dance India Dance: Battle of the Champions last year, Karan returns as the anchor for upcoming show Game On. The forthcoming show, which is set to launch on Zing on 25 January 2020, has been conceptualized on the ‘Men in Blue’ aka Indian National Cricket Team members. It will feature handsome men from the world of cricket engage in a free-wheeling conversation with Karan, play exciting games and make juicy revelations about their personal and professional life. All this while you listen to your favourite chartbuster songs! If this doesn’t sound like a dhamakedaar entertainment package, we don’t know what does. As we prepare to catch the best of music, cricket and games on our screens soon, here’s an insight into the life of our host and dost Karan Wahi. 

The television actor, anchor, and model started his acting career with a television show based on the life of rich high-school students. Born on 9 June 1986 in a Punjabi Sikh family in Delhi, Karan attended St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School and completed his higher education at the IILM Institute, Delhi University. He initially started out to become a cricketer. In 2003, he was selected for the Under-19 cricket team for Delhi alongside Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. Owing to a major injury, he had to leave the sport and got enrolled in a marketing course to join his father’s business. Watch the promo here:

After entering the small screen industry with Remix in 2004, Karan followed up the success by several other stints on television. He even took part in many reality shows. Owing to his impeccable hosting skills, Karan has been the host of various red carpet events and awards shows including Zee Gold Awards. In 2014, Karan made his Bollywood debut with Habib Faisal’s romantic comedy film Daawat-e-Ishq. He was seen in a supporting role of a Hyderabadi boy, Amjad alongside Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur

Karan was ranked at number 46 in the UK newspaper Eastern Eye’s “Sexiest Asian Man on the Planet” list in 2013. Nicknamed Jinnie, Karan is best friends with Rithvik Dhanjani, Asha Negi and other stars from the industry.
