What makes Bollywood stand out from the rest of the film industries? Is its love for dance and music? Very rarely do we across films where the lead actors don’t break into a song and dance at the drop of a hat. It may seem ‘unrealistic’ to others, but for us, it’s all fun and frolic, right?
Batti Gul Meter Chalu’s song Gold Tamba is a song that you must watch and groove to. It is fun, silly, and eccentric! This track composed by Anu Malik is hilarious with its quirky lyrics. Some of the lines go like this – When you getting Gabbar, why go for Samba, when you getting gold, why go for Tamba.
It starts at 40:22 in the film and you need to watch it right away!
What does justice to this rib-tickling song is Ganesh Acharya’s unique choreography. The master of dance has given us tracks such as Tattad Tattad from Ram-Leela and Chikni Chameli from Agneepath and with Gold Tamba, he certainly lives up to his legacy.
We see Shraddha Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor pulling off some offbeat dance moves. Shahid is in his element while Shraddha plays the bugged girlfriend. The duo does full justice to this crazy number with their crazier antics.
The picturisation of the track is vibrant and colourful, where the actors are seen shaking a leg at a children’s fair.
There comes a part where the two are seen making funny faces at each other and trust us, you will be left in splits! Tamba Gold has proven to be a track that many of us will be grooving to for a long time at parties and nightclubs.
